Are Review Request Systems enough?

Do review systems actually get you more good reviews?

A lot of companies now offer systems that automatically ask your customers for reviews once a job is done. The idea is that it helps you build up more Google reviews without thinking about it. But do they actually guarantee you more good reviews?

In my experience, no, not on their own. There are really three things that need to be in place for them to work properly.

First, the work has to be good. If you have done a good job and the customer is happy, they are usually more than willing to leave a review. If not, no system is going to change that.

Second, you have to actually ask. Most customers do not leave reviews unless you prompt them. Even happy ones forget. So having a simple way of reminding them at the right time makes a big difference.

Third, you need the right place to display your reviews. For most of us, that is Google, because that is where most people go first to find out about us before they book. If you do not have good work going out and a proper way of getting reviews onto Google, you will struggle to build them up consistently.

At Paramount Returns, I work with decorators and painting firms who already care about doing a proper job, but want more of that work to show online. I help them get more of their customers leaving real reviews on Google, so when new customers want to find out about them, they can see the quality for themselves.

If you want to chat about it, feel free to get in touch.
